Unregistered APPs To Be Removed From Platform Starting April 1

In accordance with the requirements of the “Notice on Carrying Out Mobile Internet Application Registration” issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, starting from April 1st this year, domestic existing mobile Internet applications (including APPs, mini-programs, quick applications, etc., hereinafter referred to as APPs) that have not completed the registration process in due time will face measures such as removal or shut-down in accordance with the requirements of “People’s Republic of China’s Law Against Telecommunication Network Fraud” and “Internet Information Service Management Measures” and other legal norms. Internet access service providers, application distribution platforms, and smart terminal manufacturers should fully implement the “registration before service” requirement, and cannot provide services such as network access, distribution, or pre-installation for unregistered APPs, so as to ensure the orderly and healthy development of the Internet industry, and to safeguard network security and public interest.
In accordance with the relevant registration requirements, Internet access service providers, application distribution platforms, and smart terminal manufacturers cannot provide network access, distribution, or pre-installation services for unregistered mobile Internet applications. Hosts of mobile Internet applications should prominently display their registration numbers, and distribution platforms should prominently display the registration numbers of the APPs they distribute.
Users who have not completed their APP registration, please finish the registration process before March 31.
