Introduction to Network Load Balancer NLB

Network Load Balancer NLB (Network Load Balancer) is a new generation of four-layer load balancer specifically designed for TCP/UDP protocols, supporting ultra-high performance and rich features, full port support, and advanced features such as cross-domain mounting.

Product Components

  • NLB Load Balancer Instance: It accepts traffic from the client and forwards requests to one or more backend servers.
  • Listener: Each listener requires you to configure the protocol and port to listen to requests from the client, as well as set up how the traffic is distributed, etc. Different listeners are used to handle different business traffic, forwarding requests to a backend service node according to your defined forwarding strategy.
  • Service Node: The real handling of client traffic backend server, service nodes can be cloud server instances, elastic network cards, or IP addresses.

Product Advantages

  • Simple and Easy to Use

NLB, compared to the traditional CLB, does not require additional configuration in the service node, it is ready to use, reducing the complexity of your operation.

  • Rich Features

NLB can serve as a business entry and traffic entry, handle massive concurrent connections, while providing full port, cross-domain mounting, and other advanced features to meet more of your business scenarios.

  • High Availability

The underlying adopts multi-layer disaster recovery architecture design, ensuring the availability of instances through cluster disaster recovery, session persistence, health check, and other mechanisms, and supports mounting cross-regional service nodes to escort your business.
