Create and Manage Network Load Balancer Instances
NLB is a load balancing service specifically for the fourth layer, which can distribute TCP/UDP requests from clients to backend service nodes. This article introduces how to create an NLB product instance.
Create Instance
- Log in to the Network Load Balancer NLB console.
- On the instance list page, click Create Load Balancer.
- On the Network Load Balancer purchase page, complete the following configuration:

Public Elastic IP | You can choose to create a public elastic IP with the current instance, or you can choose not to choose an elastic IP, and you can purchase and bind the elastic IP after creating the instance. | No |

Business Group | Select the business group to which the NLB belongs | No |
Billing Information | Select the payment method, for details, see product billing | Yes |
- Click Buy Now, and then follow the prompts on the console to complete the creation of the instance.
- Return to the Instance List page, select the corresponding region to see the newly created instance.
Modify Instance Name and Remarks
Modifying the instance name can help you better manage the instance;
- Log in to the Network Load Balancer NLB console.
- On the top menu bar, select the region to which the instance belongs.
- On the instance list page, select the instance you want to modify, click the edit icon at the instance name;
- In the modify pop-up window, modify the resource name and remarks, then click OK.
Bind Elastic IP
- Log in to the Network Load Balancer NLB console.
- On the top menu bar, select the region to which the instance belongs.
- On the NLB List page, find the target instance, then select Bind Elastic IP in the Operation column.
- In the Bind Elastic IP pop-up window, select the EIP you need to bind, then click OK.
Change Business Group
The business group can help you categorize your load balancer instances, such as business, use, etc.
- Log in to the Network Load Balancer NLB console.
- On the top menu bar, select the region to which the instance belongs.
- On the NLB List page, find the target instance, then select Change Business Group in the Operation column.
- If you need to change the business group in batches, you can check the options on the left side of the page.
- In the Change Business Group pop-up window, select the target business group, then click OK.
- A load balancer instance can only be bound to one business group.
Delete Instance
You can delete the load balancer instance that you don’t need to use to avoid generating billing;
- Log in to the Network Load Balancer NLB console.
- On the top menu bar, select the region to which the instance belongs.
- On the NLB Instance page, find the target instance, then select Delete in the Operation column.
- In the Delete Instance pop-up window, click OK.
