Create a new alarm policy

Create Alarm Policy

Background Information

Cloud Monitor supports flexible creation of alarm policies. Users can set threshold alarms for the monitoring indicators supported by cloud products, and notify users to take measures in time when abnormalities occur. The alert policy includes five necessary components: name, policy type, alarm trigger condition, alarm object, and alarm notification configuration.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Policy to enter the alarm policy list page.
  3. On the Alarm Policy page, select the project and click Create to create an alarm policy.
  1. On the Create Alarm Policy page, configure parameters according to the interface prompts.
  1. Configure the parameters as follows:

Resource Type *List of products accessed by cloud monitoring
Alarm Object *Either specify an object or specify a resource group
Select ResourcesSelect resource objects under the specified resource type
Data Dimension MatchEnter match conditions for more accurate object filteringThe values within the same dimension are “OR”, different dimensions are “AND”.
Setting mode *Able to choose template configuration or manual configurationAfter the alert conditions are modified and submitted, the alerts will be recalculated, and new alerts will be generated
Template Configuration > Select Template*Choose default template or create condition template
Manual Configuration > Alert ConditionWhen any of the following indicators meets the conditions, an alert is triggered
Notification Methods *Configure the way to notify the alert, supports email/SMS/API callback
Recipient *Configure the object to receive the alert notification, supports notification group/notification person
Strategy Name *Custom input
  1. At the lower right corner of the Create Alarm Policy page, click Submit to complete the creation of the alarm policy.
