Announcement: Major Version Upgrade of Cloud Monitoring Product
Dear users,
We are thrilled to announce that we are about to implement a significant version upgrade for our cloud monitoring product. This update is a reflection of not only significant improvements in product design, feature enhancements, and user accessibility, but also our deep understanding and response to product concepts and user needs.
I. New Changes in Product Form
In the new version, the overall form of the cloud monitoring product has significantly changed. Based on user feedback and market trends, we have comprehensively optimized the interface design, operation process, and functional layout. The new product version will present more intuitive, simple, and user-friendly features, while adding more fine-grained resource metric monitoring and alarm capabilities to meet user demands for precise alarms and efficient operation and maintenance.
II. Highlights and Differences in Functions
- Brand new interface design: The new version has redefined the concept related to alarm configuration, optimized the operation process, and reduced the user’s usage cost. At the same time, it adopts the latest design framework, making the overall interface more integrated and simpler with the console, and more intuitive.
- Alarm function upgrade: The new version supports alarm grading and supports different thresholds to configure different alarm levels; supports pushing alarms to Enterprise WeChat, Feishu, DingTalk, or multiple callback addresses, and more channels to ensure you receive the alarm notification in time.
- Efficient operation and maintenance: The new version supports resource grouping and condition template functions; resource grouping supports unified management of cross-regional resources, sets alarm strategies, and improves operational efficiency; condition templates can be reused with one click in different strategies to simplify settings.
- Multi-dimensional data monitoring and alarms: The new version supports multi-dimensional data monitoring and alarm capabilities, such as container cloud resource monitoring, supporting namespace, workload_kind level monitoring data display, and alarm capabilities.
III. Reminder and Help
Please note that after you have completed the upgrade from the old version to the new version of CloudWatch, the alarm templates you set in the old version of UMon will be adjusted:
- Alarm templates that have been bound to specific resources in the old version will be directly imported into the new version of CloudWatch as alarm strategies.
- Alarm templates that have not been bound to specific resources in the old version will be converted into alarm condition templates and displayed on the “Condition Template” page of the new version of CloudWatch. If you have a scenario where you call the BindAlarmTemplate interface to bind resources and alarm templates:
- If the default template ID is entered, the system will process it normally.
- If a custom template ID is entered, the bind operation fails, and the system returns an error code reminder. To ensure a successful migration, please carefully check the type of template ID used before performing related operations.
Furthermore, to provide better service, after the migration is completed, to ensure the normal use of your sub-accounts, we will add the corresponding IAM permissions to the sub-accounts that have had changes.
In addition, if you use the Pathx product or resources from the Quanzhou, Fujian data center and encounter incompatible interface situations after the migration, please contact our technical support team for help in time.
IV. Update Time & Method
The new version will officially launch on October 25th and will gradually migrate customers in batches. If you have any questions or need help during the upgrade, or if you want to upgrade to the new version immediately, please feel free to contact our customer service team.
