Cloud Monitoring

Cloud Monitoring (CloudWatch) is a service specifically designed to monitor products and resources in the UCloud Global cloud platform. It aims to help cloud users keep track of the usage and operating status of cloud resources in real time, and promptly handle faulty resources to ensure normal operation of the business.

Monitoring Dashboards

Monitoring Dashboards provides users with the ability to customize the view of monitoring data. Users can customize the addition of monitoring indicators to view different resources and dimensions of monitoring indicators in the same view.

Monitoring Metrics

Monitoring metrics are the core concept of cloud monitoring, referring to the quantified status of a certain dimension of a cloud product resource on the UCloud Global cloud platform, such as the CPU usage rate and memory usage rate of a cloud host. Monitoring metrics are time-related variable values, which will generate a series of monitoring data as time changes, helping users understand the changes of this monitoring indicator within a specific time.

Resource

Cloud product resources, the smallest monitoring unit.

Resource Groups

A collection of individual cloud product resources for easy resource management and alarm configuration. Users can group resources of the same project across different regions in the same cloud product. When a large number of resources are created, user can establish resource groups according to their needs, and manage resources and set alarm policies more conveniently by managing resource groups.

Project

A project is used to group and isolate cloud product resources. The project could be a department or a project team. Multiple projects can be created in one account.

Alarm Policies

Alarm Policies consist of five necessary components: name, policy type, alarm trigger condition, alarm object, and alarm notification configuration. Users can set threshold alarms for monitoring indicators supported by cloud products to notify users to take measures when abnormalities occur.

Alarm Trigger Conditions

It consists of indicators, comparison relationships, thresholds, trigger strategies, alarm periods and alarm levels forming a semantic condition.

Policy Type

It is used to identify which cloud product.

Trigger Condition Template

Users can set alarm rules for a specific cloud product using the trigger condition template, then the alarm rules set for the trigger condition template can be reused in the setting of the trigger conditions for the alarm policy, avoiding repeated settings when setting the same alarm rules. By using the trigger condition template to set the trigger conditions of the alarm strategy, editing the template can be applied to the corresponding alarm strategy, enabling you to make unified and quick modifications to the alarm strategy rules, thus improving operation and maintenance efficiency.
