2. GeoTrust is a well-known digital certificate issuing authority worldwide and is a cost-effective brand under Digicert.
3. TrustAsia is a company that specializes in providing international certificates and proprietary rights certificates for various industries.
4. CFCA, or China Financial Certification Center, was initiated by the People’s Bank of China in 1998 and approved by the national information security management agency to set up an authoritative electronic authentication institution.
5. UniTrust is affiliated to Shanghai Digital Certificate Certification Center Co., Ltd. (abbreviated to Shanghai CA, SHECA), which is the only pilot approved by the Central Cipher Work Leadership Group and the first professional third-party electronic certification service organization in China.
Select Certificate Type
The Certificate Authority (CA) provides three different server verification methods, corresponding to three trust levels of SSL certificates: Domain Validation (DV) SSL certificates, Organization Validation (OV) SSL certificates, and Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificates. Only OV SSL certificates and EV SSL certificates can truly help the enterprise achieve security and trust, which is also the main reason why the PCI Security Standards Committee recommends these two types of certificates.
1. DV SSL certificates, domain SSL certificates, can provide basic information transmission encryption function and verify basic domain management rights. CA review only the ownership of the domain, the application process is automatically completed by the system, so DV certificates are often very low in price, even free.
2. OV SSL certificates, also known as organization or institutional certificates. OV certificates are obviously suitable for enterprises, government and other organizations. Not only does the OV certificate have full encryption transmission and identity verification functions, but its price is also relatively cheap, and its issuance is convenient.
3. EV SSL certificates, also known as enhanced SSL certificates, are upgraded versions of enterprise certificates. On the basis of original encryption and identity verification, it strengthens the function of fake website prevention, and is stronger in function and effect.
