Product Overview

UCloud Global File System (UFS) is a distributed file system product that can provide highly available, reliable, and scalable file storage features for various hosts running on UCloud Global public cloud, physical cloud, and managed cloud. With the shared storage function provided by the UFS product, it can easily provide strong support for various application scenarios such as data backup, serverless, AI data analysis, and high-performance web sites.

The file storage product is divided into two types: capacity type and performance type. The capacity-type file storage uses ordinary SATA media, which has the characteristics of low price and high capacity. Performance-type file storage uses SSD media to provide low-latency IO access.

The file storage product adopts a multiple copy mechanism within the availability zone and ensures disaster recovery of cross-cabinet physical machines, with data persistence being 99.999999%. It currently supports TCP-based NFS and SMB protocols. The capacity of a single file system can reach the level of 100 PB and support online expansion, and the business is unaware of the expansion. The file storage product is designed based on VPC virtual network at the transport layer to ensure the security and reliability of data transmission in the network.
