Reliability

The file storage uses a three-replica mechanism. The replicas are deployed across different cabinets, ensuring that they are not affected by single-machine and single-disk failures. Based on the reliability of replicas, data reconstruction can be performed according to priority, ensuring controllable MTTR. The product provides a 99.999999% data reliability guarantee.

High Elasticity

The file storage supports elastic scaling, and the scaling is imperceptible to applications using file storage. It supports a maximum capacity of hundreds of PB levels (for the space limits currently open in various regions, please refer to the Product Limits section).

Sharing

The file storage product allows any host in the same VPC to access the specified file system through the mount point, thereby achieving the purpose of data sharing. File storage does not limit the number of hosts that can mount the file system, which is more friendly to scenarios that require a large number of nodes to process shared data.

File storage also supports access to various public cloud, physical cloud, and hosted cloud host products, providing a unified data sharing method for multi-scenario hybrid deployments.

Ease of Use

The file storage product can easily create, scale, delete, and manage mount points through the console. And because file storage supports NFS and SMB protocols, it can be well compatible with POSIX semantics, allowing POSIX-based applications to seamlessly dock with file storage products. All types of file system management tools can be used directly, without any changes to the previous development and operation habits.
