UReach Application Acceleration

UReach, hereinafter referred to as UReach, is an edge access gateway product designed for cross-border network acceleration scenarios, mainly for customers with cross-border business needs in practical business. The cross-border public network usually has larger latency, higher packet loss rate, and poorer stability, using UReach can provide customers with fast, convenient, efficient, and compliant cross-border network acceleration solutions. Users only need to deploy the smart gateway hardware in the local network and configure the corresponding acceleration line through the UCloud Global console, and then they can access the local traffic to the UReach acceleration network for network acceleration.

Product Components

UReach Smart Gateway

The UReach Smart Gateway is one of the core components of the UReach network acceleration product. It’s a physical device, usually made up of components such as hardware chips, processors, memory, storage, etc., with edge computing and network connection capabilities. The primary function of the smart gateway hardware is to act as a relay station in the local network, responsible for receiving and sending data traffic. The UReach Smart Gateway has high performance and reliability, capable of dealing with a large amount of data traffic and providing a stable network connection. It also supports various security protocols and encryption algorithms to ensure data safety and confidentiality during transmission.

When using UReach acceleration, users need to initialize the network configuration of the smart gateway on the UCloud Global console. After deployment, local terminal devices can be connected to the UReach Smart Gateway through Wi-Fi or LAN network cable, and the smart gateway will intelligently divert the traffic of the access device locally, recognize the traffic that needs to be accelerated, and forward it to the UReach acceleration line.

UReach Acceleration Lines

UReach Acceleration Lines are another important component of UReach network acceleration product. It’s a dedicated network channel used to connect the user’s local network and the network of the overseas target region, realizing network acceleration. UReach acceleration network provides three access points in China, located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou. Users can choose the proper pick-up point (the entrance of the local traffic forwarded to the UReach acceleration network) and drop-off point (the exit of the traffic forwarded through the UReach acceleration network) according to the actual situation.

When using UReach acceleration, users need to configure the corresponding network acceleration line on the UCloud Global console, bind the acceleration line to the smart gateway hardware, and after configuration, they can guide users’ local traffic to the UReach acceleration network for acceleration processing. UReach acceleration lines have lower latency, higher bandwidth, and lower packet loss rate, suitable for processing business traffic with higher network performance requirements.
