Recycle and Deletion

Notification Channels

All notifications will be sent via email, SMS, and on-site notifications to your set recipients.

Prepaid Annual/Monthly Payment

The current billing mode of TiDB’s recycle and notification process is as follows:

7 days and 3 days before the expiration of your resources: A pre-warning of the impending resource expiration will be sent to your set recipients;

On the day of the expiration of your resources: A notification that the resources have expired will be sent to your set recipients;

2 days after the expiration of your resources: A reminder that TiDB is about to be shut down will be sent to your set recipient;

3 days after the expiration of your resources: A notification that TiDB has been shut down will be sent to your set recipient, and TiDB will be stopped on that day. The stopped TiDB needs to be renewed before it can be used again;

9 days after the expiration of your resources: A reminder that TiDB will soon be recycled will be sent to your set recipient;

10 days after the expiration of your resources: A notification that TiDB has been recycled will be sent to your set recipient, and TiDB will be recycled on the same day. (The recycled resources can’t be recovered, please recharge on time).

Prepaid Hourly Payment

Resource Usage is Less Than 3 Days

1 hour after your resources expire: Send a notification that the resources will soon be recycled;

20 hours after your resources expire: Send a reminder that the resources will soon be recycled;

1 day after your resources expire: Send a recycling notification and recycle TiDB.

Resource Usage is More Than 3 Days

20 hours after your resources expire: Send a reminder that the resources will soon be recycled;

1 day after your resources expire: Send a recycling notification and recycle TiDB.

Deletion

When you delete an instance, the system will immediately stop the service and delete the instance, returning a fee proportional to the current expiration time.

TiDB Serverless

Recycle

A postpaid bill is generated every hour. If your account balance is sufficient, the bill will be deducted automatically. If your account balance is not sufficient to support the billing, an overdue bill will be generated;

  • One postpaid overdue order: Send a notification that the instance may be recycled;
  • One postpaid overdue order + 24 hours: Send a shutdown notification, and the instance will be forced to shut down on the same day;
  • One postpaid overdue order + 48 hours: Send a deletion notification, and delete the instance on the same day.

Deletion

When you delete an instance, the system will immediately stop the service and delete the instance, and generate the final order for you one hour after the last order.
