Instance Types

TiDB

Multiple specifications are provided for users to choose from. Users can configure the cluster according to business needs, and select the corresponding specification node based on the CPU:Memory ratio in the node configuration on the create page.

TiDB Serverless

Three types of instances: Trial, Lite and Flagship, are available for users to choose from.

Flagship

This is the recommended version to use and the default version to create. Cluster configuration automatically adjusts according to business situations to ensure performance and resource utilization. Users don’t have to worry about complicated configurations within the cluster, as well as failover, scaling in, and scaling out operations. This liberates users from the database and allows them to focus on the business.

Lite

Suitable for users with lightweight business online. Users don’t have to worry about complicated configurations within the cluster or failovers. The cluster has a fixed configuration of 3 compute nodes with 8G memory each, and 3 storage nodes with 20G memory and 400G RSSD each.

Trial

Suitable for users testing or operating small business online. Users don’t have to worry about complicated configurations inside the cluster and failovers. The cluster has a fixed configuration of 3 compute nodes with 4G memory each, and 3 storage nodes with 10G memory and 200G RSSD each.
