Cloud Interconnection Function
Global Networking: Multi-point Interconnection, Efficient and Convenient
UCloud Global owns nodes all around the world, and Cloud Interconnection is able to provide high-quality network transmission capabilities, helping users easily achieve global instance intercommunication and interconnection, ensuring more stable and efficient network connections for users.
Intelligent Routing: Automatic Learning, Autonomous Issuing
Routes added to the Cloud Interconnection will be automatically propagated (learned), and users are not required to configure routes separately, which can greatly reduce the difficulty of operation and maintenance management.
Bandwidth Guarantee: Diversified Services, Select as Needed
The Cloud Interconnection product provides users with dedicated line quality assurance services, while also supporting: Diamond (Superior Quality), Platinum (Balanced Quality), and Gold (Cost-Sensitive) service quality levels. You can flexibly choose according to your business needs.
Service Quality | Description | Applicable Scenarios |
---|---|---|
Diamond | Priority scheduling, priority forwarding; | Scenarios demanding high network quality, such as payments; |
Platinum | Secondary scheduling, secondary forwarding; | Scenarios like gaming; |
Gold | Ordinary scheduling, best-effort forwarding; | Scenarios such as uploading and downloading which requires a general level of service quality; |
Intelligent Route Selection: Diversified Services, Select as Needed [Cloud Interconnection Phase II, Coming Soon]
Based on SR-TE technology for flexible path selection for user business. You can select on the control panel: low latency, common line, low cost; through selection of S (Source) ---> D (Destination) region on the control panel, then choosing specific scheduling paths;
-
Common line (IGP) : S (Source) ---> D (Destination) Forward data along the shortest path
-
Low latency line (Delay): S (Source) ---> D (Destination) Transmit data along the lowest delay path
-
Low cost line (TCO) : S (Source) ---> D (Destination) Transmit data along the optimal cost path
Comparison of Cloud Interconnection and UCloud GlobalDPN functions
Before using Cloud Interconnection, if you want to implement interconnection between multiple VPC networks across regions, you need to establish UCloud GlobalDPN tunnels for pairwise VPCs across regions to achieve intercommunication of network resources across regions.
For the above scenario, if you use Cloud Interconnection, you only need to create a Cloud Interconnection instance and add the same region/cross-region VPC network that needs interconnection to this Cloud Interconnection, to achieve communication between all networks. The routes of Cloud Interconnection are automatically forwarded and learned. You only need to add instances to the Cloud Interconnection once, no need to manually configure and manage the routing table of each instance.
Product Feature | VPC Interconnection/UCloud GlobalDPN | Cloud Interconnection |
---|---|---|
Network Interconnection | Cn2 UDPN connections are required for full interconnection among N VPCs | Full interconnection after joining Cloud Interconnection |
Route Learning | Each UDPN needs to configure a route, and manual updates are needed when the link changes | Auto-learning routes, dynamic updates, no manual maintenance required |
Quality of Service | Not Supported | Supports QoS for service quality differentiation |
Intelligent Path | Not Supported | Supports shortest path, minimum latency, optimum cost routes |
