Main Concepts
Instance Types
PostgreSQL instances currently support regular instances and high-availability instances.
Version
PostgreSQL instances currently support PostgreSQL 10.4 and PostgreSQL 13.4, users can choose the appropriate cloud database version according to their needs.
Compute Specification
CPU and memory size of the cloud database. Users can choose based on the hardware requirements of the cloud database.
Disk
The disk size of the cloud database. Users can choose depending on their hardware requirements for the cloud database.
Payment Method
The payment method is divided into annual, monthly, and hourly payment, and all payment methods are prepaid, that is, the cost of the corresponding service period is paid in advance.
Please refer to the “Billing Guide” document for specific billing instructions.
Quantity
The number of cloud databases that users need to apply for, the default is 1, and multiple can be selected for batch creation at the same time.
Node
PostgreSQL currently supports Master nodes and Standby nodes.
Configuration File
The configuration file includes various configuration parameters for the operation of the cloud database. Users can customize and modify them as needed. Each cloud database version provides the corresponding default configuration file.
The configuration file includes the default configuration file and the custom configuration file, which are created and imported by users.
Administrator
Super administrator (root) privileges are provided by default, allowing users to customize the administrator password.
Instance Name
Users can customize the name of the cloud database instance.
Resource ID
After the user creates a cloud database instance, the system will automatically generate a resource ID, which is globally unique.
IP and Port
The IP is the internal network address for users to access the cloud database, which is automatically generated after the creation of the cloud database. No external IP is currently provided.
The default port for PostgreSQL is 5432.
Backup
Backup saves all data of the cloud database at a certain point in time. The cloud database provides two methods of automatic backup and manual backup to prevent data loss and avoid the risk of misoperation.
Log
The log is a record file used to record cloud database operation events. It includes database logs.
Cloud Database UDB Service Level Agreement (SLA)
The UCloud Global UDB Service Level Agreement stipulates the general service level indicators and service precautions for UCloud Global to provide UCloud Global UDB cloud database service to customers.
