Regions and Availability Zones

Regions

A region is composed of several isolated and physically separated availability zones within a geographical area (usually a city). UCloud-Global provides dozens of regions globally, covering China (Hong Kong, Taiwan), North America, South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East.

Availability Zones

Availability zones are a set of physically and electrically isolated resource combinations. An availability zone may be designed by combining one or more data centers. There is a certain physical distance between multiple availability zones, which can better prevent the impact of power outages, fires, or natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes. Availability zones make partitioned applications easier to achieve high availability. After reasonable partition design, the scope of failure impact will be isolated within a single availability zone.
