Bastion host data disk maintenance

Bastion Host Data Maintenance

1、How to Measure the Size of Bastion Host Data Disk (Evaluation based on actual customer use)

Calculation method: Single Session Average Traffic * Concurrency * Average Daily Working Hours * 3600/1000/1000 = Daily Audit Video Size (Unit: GB)

Example:

Assume that the average traffic per session is 8KB/S, the daily working hours are 4 hours, and the concurrency is 100, then about 12GB will be occupied in one day (8*4*100*3600/1000/1000=11.52G)

The system operation log is similar to a text record, occupying a very small space, the specific details depend on the actual operation of the user; the audit log volume is mainly video audit.

When purchasing, it is recommended to estimate the size and retention time of audit logs, as per the level of protection and network security law, audit logs must be retained for at least 6 months

2、How much data can a bastion host’s data disk store by default?

The amount of data a bastion host can store depends on the size of the data disk when the customer purchases the bastion host. When the data disk space is full, the bastion host will by default overwrite the earliest audit logs.

Simultaneously, the Bastion Host supports both manual and automatic deletion of audit logs, as shown in the following figure:

3、Does the Bastion host support data backup?

Yes, it does. The configuration module is as shown in the following figure:
