What is AnycastEIP

Product Introduction

AnycastEIP, leveraging UCloud Global‘s global BGP announcement capability, the resources of more than ten overseas nodes across the globe and the dedicated line resources between nodes, provides global network acceleration. By optimizing the quality of IP transmission and multi-entrance access nearby, it minimizes the impact of public network latency and jitters, improving the global user experience of EIP.

Multi-Region Access

For the same AnycastEIP, multiple overseas nodes simultaneously make announcements. According to the source region of access traffic, it accesses to the UCloud Global backbone network nearby. After the access traffic is received, it is sent to the server for processing through the UCloud Global dedicated line resources, thus ensuring worldwide network transmission quality. In case of a failure in the backbone network of a single region, the multi-region access capability of AnycastEIP ensures the normal and stable service.

Multi-Region Service Node Processing Nearby

For the same AnycastEIP, it can simultaneously bind servers from multiple regions and deploy services on multiple overseas nodes. It chooses the best path according to its proximity to the access traffic, realizing global business acceleration.

Health Checks

Monitor the health status of backend nodes and automatically block unhealthy service nodes. Health check methods vary for different types of service nodes. For cloud hosts, they are considered healthy by default if they are in “running” status, and unhealthy otherwise. For load balancer ULB, all VServer health checks fail and the node is considered unhealthy, otherwise, it is considered healthy.
