Configuration Change/Upgrade or Downgrade
You can adjust your resource configuration—upgrade or downgrade—based on your needs when using XXXCloud products. In this guide, we’ll use UHost as an example..
The rules for refunds or additional payments in configuration change operations are explained as follows:
After a configuration change, your original service expiration date stays the same. Any price adjustment—whether a refund or an additional charge—is based on the remaining service period. If the new configuration costs more, you pay the difference; if the new configuration costs less, the difference is refunded to your account.
Example 1: You purchased a specified configuration Host for 30 days, worth $18.857. After 10 days of use, you need to upgrade to a new configuration Host, a new configuration Host for 30 days, worth $37.714.
The amount you need to pay for the configuration change = value of the new configuration × (remaining time ÷ original service duration) - value of the original configuration × (remaining time ÷ original service time) = $37.714 × (20 days ÷ 30 days) - $18.857 × (20 days ÷ 30 days) = $12.571
Example 2: You purchased a specified configuration Host for 30 days, valued at 240 yuan. After 10 days of use, you need to downgrade to a new configuration Host, a new configuration Host for 30 days, worth $18.857 yuan.
The amount of configuration change refundable to you = original configuration value × (remaining time ÷ original service duration) - new configuration value × (remaining time ÷ original service time) = $37.714 × (20 days ÷ 30 days) - $18.857 × (20 days ÷ 30 days) = $12.571
