Refund upon Resource Termination

Prepaid Resources

Upon resource termination, if your resources have not yet expired, the system will automatically refund the unspent amount. Resources paid on a daily, monthly, or yearly basis may have enjoyed a period discount at the time of purchase. If not used for a full billing period, the discount will be deducted at the time of refund.

Refund Amount = Max (0, Actual Order Payment - Consumed Amount)

• Actual Order Payment: The amount paid by the user after applying any discounts, using either cash or bonus. This does not include the part paid by vouchers.
• Daily Purchased Resources
  If the actual usage is less than the billing period: Consumed amount = Actual order payment x (Usage period ÷ Total billing period) x 1.25
  If the actual usage equals the billing period: Consumed amount = Actual order payment
• Monthly Purchased Resources
  If the actual usage is less than the billing period: Consumed amount = Actual order payment x (Usage period ÷ Total billing period) x 1.5
  If the actual usage equals the billing period: Consumed amount = Actual order payment
• Yearly Purchased Resources
  If the actual usage is less than the billing period: Consumed amount = Monthly price x 12 x Number of years x (Usage period ÷ Total billing period)
  If the actual usage equals the billing period: Consumed amount = Actual order payment
• If the consumed amount is greater than or equals the actual order payment, the refund amount is zero, no additional charges for the outstanding part.
• In the refunded amount, the part paid by vouchers at the time of purchase cannot be refunded, the non-voucher part (cash/bonus) is refunded in proportion to the payment.
• The minimum billing unit during refund is an hour, less than an hour is considered as one hour.

Example 1: You purchased a host for a month, paid 800 {{currency}}. After 10 days of use, you deleted the resource to get a refund. The refund calculation is as follows: 
Consumed amount: 800 x (10 ÷ 30) x 1.5 = 400 {{currency}}
Refund amount: 800 - 400 = 400 {{currency}}

Example 2: You purchased a host for three months in one go, paid 2400 {{currency}}. After 45 days of use, you deleted the resource to get a refund. The refund calculation is as follows: 
Consumed amount: 2400 x (45 ÷ 90) x 1.5 = 1800 {{currency}}
Refund amount: 2400 - 1800 = 600 {{currency}}

Example 3: You purchased a host for a year, paid 8000 {{currency}} (monthly price 800 {{currency}}). After 2 months of use, you deleted the resource to get a refund. The refund calculation is as follows: 
Consumed amount: 800 x 12 x 1 x (2 ÷ 12) = 1600 {{currency}}
Refund amount: 8000 - 1600 = 6400 {{currency}}

Example 4: You purchased a host for a year, paid 8000 {{currency}} (monthly price 800 {{currency}}). After 11 months of use, you deleted the resource to get a refund. The refund calculation is as follows: 
Consumed amount: 800 x 12 x 1 x(11 ÷ 12) = 8800 {{currency}}
Refund amount: 8000 - 8800 = -800 {{currency}}, exceeding fee won't be additionally charged and the refund amount is 0 {{currency}}

Example 5: You purchased a host for three years in one go, paid 14400 {{currency}} (monthly price 800 {{currency}}). After 15 months of use, you deleted the resource to get a refund. The refund calculation is as follows: 
Consumed amount: 800 x 12 x 3 x(15 ÷ 36) = 12000 {{currency}}
Refund amount: 14400 - 12000 = 2400 {{currency}}

Postpaid Resources

Upon resource termination, the system will automatically settle the account based on resource usage.

Special Note

There will be no refund for CDN, File, DDoS protection, SMS package, and other products purchased in package or one-time quantity form.
No refund will be made for cloud phones purchased on a daily basis and released in advance.
Lightweight cloud host refund rule: If less than a day, use the day as the billing cycle, 1.5 times the daily compensation for the used part.
Vouchers used at the time of purchase are not refundable.
