Resource Expiration Recovery
Prepaid resources
When a resource expires, if it is not renewed in time, it will be suspended and recycled. Users can set up automatic renewal for resources (the automatic renewal is checked by default when purchasing resources). After the setup is successful, when the resource expires, the system will automatically deduct the user’s account balance to renew the resource.
The specific handling rules for the expiry are as follows:
Time Period | Processing Rules |
---|---|
Prior to the Resource Expiration | If the resources have not all enabled automatic renewal, or if the account balance is insufficient to renew, the system will push a resource about to expire alarm 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before the resource expires (for monthly and yearly billed resources). If all resources have enabled automatic renewal and the account balance is sufficient, the system will not push a resource about to expire alarm. Notifications will be sent via email, SMS and internal letters (the actual receiving method is subject to the user’s configuration in Recycling Alarm. |
After Resource Expiration | If the resource does not enable automatic renewal, or if the account balance is insufficient to renew, the resource will enter an expired state, and the system will send a resource expiration notice (for monthly and yearly billed resources) after the resource expires, with notifications being sent via email, SMS and internal letters (the actual receiving method is according to the user’s configuration in Recycling Alarm. |
After Resource Expiration-Before Resource Suspension | Non-auto-renewal cloud resources: If the user does not renew, the cloud resource will be suspended (shutdown, data retained), and the system will send a resource suspension warning 24 hours before suspension, notifying the user that the resource is about to be suspended and needs to renew as soon as possible if continued use is required. Auto-renewal cloud resources: If the account balance is sufficient, the system will complete automatic renewal; if the account balance is insufficient to renew, the cloud resource will be suspended (shutdown, data retained), and the system will send a suspension warning 24 hours before suspension, notifying the user that the resource is about to be suspended and needs to renew as soon as possible if continued use is required. |
Resource Suspension | If the resource does not renew after expiration, the monthly and annually billed resources will stop service on the 3rd day after expiration and send a service suspension notification; the hourly billed resources will stop service between 10:00-12:00 24 hours after expiration, and send a service suspension notification. Resources that are less than 72 hours will be suspended 1 hour after expiration. After the resource is suspended, the user can renew it in the control panel to resume its working state. |
Before Resource Recycling | A resource about to be recycled warning will be pushed 24 hours before the recycle. |
Resource Recycling | Before the resource is recycled, if the user still does not renew, the resource will be released, its data will be deleted and it is not recoverable (on the 10th day after expiration, 14 days for UDB products). Hourly billed resources will be recycled between 15:00-18:00 24 hours after expiration (UDisk’s hourly billed resources are still recycled after 10 days, and UDB’s hourly billed resources are still recycled after 14 days). After the resource is released, a reminder will be sent via email, SMS and internal letters (the actual receiving method is according to the user’s configuration in Recycling Alarm. |
Postpaid resources
When the account balance is insufficient to pay the generated order, the resource enters the arrears status. If the overdue order is not paid promptly, the resource will be suspended and recycled.
The specific handling rules for the expiry are as follows:
Time Period | Processing Rules |
---|---|
After Resource Arrears | If the resource has an overdue order waiting to be paid, the resource enters arrears status. The system will push an arrears notice after the resource falls into arrears. Notifications will be sent via email, SMS, and internal letters (the actual receiving method is according to the user’s configuration in Recycling Alarm. |
After Resource Arrears-Before Resource Limitation | If the account balance is sufficient, the system will complete automatic payment; if the account balance is insufficient to pay, the cloud resource will be limited, and the system will send a resource restriction warning 24 hours before the restriction, notifying the user that the resource is about to be limited and needs to pay as soon as possible if normal use is needed. |
Resource Limitation | If the overdue order is not paid after the resource falls into arrears, it will be limited on the 3rd day of arrears and a restriction notice will be sent. After the resource is restricted, users can pay the overdue order in the control panel to restore its working state. |
Before Resource Recycling | A resource about to be recycled warning will be pushed 24 hours before the recycle. |
Resource Recycling | Before the resource is recycled, if the user still does not pay the overdue order, the resource will be released, its data will be deleted and it is not recoverable (on the 7th day after expiration, 30 days for UFile products). After the resource is released, a reminder will be sent via email, SMS and internal letters (the actual receiving method is according to the user’s configuration in Recycling Alarm. |
Friendly reminder
The possibility of recovery after resource expiration or deletion is extremely low. To reduce the risk, please renew and backup data in a timely manner.
In special circumstances, please submit a ticket, and we will try our best to retrieve it for you.
