Questions related to Cross-border Products
1、How large is the delay of the high-speed channel?
UCloud Global will choose the route with the lowest latency from the global backbone network as the actual underlying route of the user’s UCloud GlobalDPN. Limited by the actual distance and different environments crossed by different routes, the latency difference between different routes is large. For example, North China One-Shanghai Two and North China One-Frankfurt, one crosses the continent and the other is only within the country, the actual distance difference is also large, these factors will cause a large latency difference between the two routes. The specific route latency can be consulted with technical support or customer manager.
2、Does high-speed channel need to be purchased on both sides?
No. If you have purchased a 2M size UDPN line from North China One to Frankfurt, you can achieve a peak bandwidth of 2M between Beijing and Frankfurt, i.e., 2M bandwidth from Beijing to Frankfurt and 2M from Frankfurt to Beijing at the same time.
3、Why is the UCloud GlobalDPN monitoring data inconsistent in two places? What is the network exit peak?
UCloud GlobalDPN is a bidirectional bandwidth. When a 2M size UDPN bandwidth is purchased, the bandwidth of A area to B area and B area to A area can reach 2M at the same time. Each area’s outgoing bandwidth is monitored separately, so the monitoring value may not be the same.
