  1. initiate

Click the launch button in the navigation bar at the top of the console or directly open the address {{cloudshell}}, and after the window (or page) is opened, you need to wait for the virtual machine to be allocated in the background, which is expected to take 10~20 seconds.

  1. Shut down

Closing a page and a session that is idle for more than 30 minutes will cause the session to be closed, and the virtual machine will be reclaimed shortly after all sessions are closed by the user.

  1. bind

If persistent storage is not bound, files modified or added by users will be lost after the VM is reclaimed. The binding operation will mount the US3 bucket to the VM/data directory, put the file in this directory, and the file will be automatically uploaded to the US3, and the next time Cloud Shell starts, the bound bucket will be automatically mounted to the new VM.

  1. Unbinding

Unbinding a US3 bucket will unbind the Cloud Shell from the bucket, and the next time the Cloud Shell is started, the bucket will no longer be automatically mounted.
