Cross-Border Dedicated Line Compliance Checks

Product Introduction

The “Cross-Border Dedicated Line Information Reporting” is an information management system designed to meet legal and regulatory requirements, providing related information reporting and reviews for customers who purchase or use cross-border products, services, and line resources;

Application Scenarios

Customers or users need to buy or use cross-border products, services, and line resources, and need to report relevant information first;

Operation Steps

Step 1: On the console, click in order “All Products” —> “Enterprise Applications” —> “Cross-Border Dedicated Line Information Reporting” to enter the cross-border dedicated line information reporting management interface;

Step 2: Click on the “Cross-Border Reporting” button, enter and upload the relevant information and data according to the prompts on the pop-up interface, and click “Submit”;

  • If the customer/user has carried out website reporting or other product/form reporting operations on UCloud in the past, they can use the “One-click Import” authorization system to obtain relevant information for cross-border reporting;

  • Please ensure the completeness and accuracy of the reported information in accordance with the interface prompts, otherwise, it may affect the review result.

Step 3: The system will complete the auditing of reporting information within 2-3 working days. After the audit passes, you can normally purchase/use cross-border products, services, line resources;

1, What is cross-border business?

UCloud’s cross-border business includes: cross-border express passageways, cloud network cross-border dedicated lines, PathX, etc., involving data communication between mainland China and overseas. It is a cross-border data product for corporate customers launched by UCloud Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as UCloud) in cooperation with China Unicom, in which the cross-border dedicated line is a data connection service provided to you by Shanghai Unicom through UCloud’s sales channels.

2, Is UCloud the operator of cross-border business?

No, the operator of the cross-border business is China Unicom, and users purchase the relevant services provided by China Unicom through the console.

3, Why do I need to apply for compliance when applying for Unicom’s cross-border business?

According to the 42nd order of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the letter [2017]32 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other national and local laws and administrative regulations, China Unicom is responsible for setting up user files for related cross-border businesses. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: when accepting business for users, they should require users to provide real identity information and verify it. China Unicom will truthfully register the type of documents and the name (name), number, and address information recorded on the documents. If the user refuses to present a valid document, refuses to provide the identity information recorded on his document, uses someone else’s document, or uses a forged or altered document, China Unicom will not accept the business for him. 4、What materials need to be provided for cross-border business application? How to provide?

The real identity information that users need to provide includes:

  1. Organization Code Certificate.
  2. Business License.
  3. Legal Person Certificate of an Institution or Legal Person Registration Certificate of a Social Group.
  4. Other valid documents or proof documents stipulated by laws, administrative regulations, and national regulations.
  5. In addition to presenting one of the above certificates, the handler’s valid certificate and the unit’s letter of authorization should also be presented.

5、Application and approval time?

You can submit relevant application materials online at any time, and the general approval time is 1~3 working days.

6、Do I need to report multiple times for multiple purchases and use of multiple cross-border products, services?

A company ID only needs to be reported once, and can be purchased and used multiple times for multiple cross-border products, services, and line resources;

7、Will the expiry or updating of the reporting information affect normal business use?

The expiry or updating of the reporting information will not affect the normal use of the business;
