Tantan
Project background & challenges
Since its establishment, Tantan has not had an independent operations team, but has adopted the DevOps model, with only 1-2 people focusing on and supporting the underlying infrastructure. Tantan has adopted the original IDC approach and gradually faced more challenges in its development process:
The use of traditional CDN service providers for distribution services has problems such as unstable business quality, delayed fault handling, and low customer response.
There are a large number of UGC images in the app that require relevant storage services.
The number of users is steadily increasing, IDC resources are limited, and further rack resource expansion cannot meet the requirements.
Solution features
Based on the customer’s real pain points, the UCloud sales and architecture teams have communicated with the customer multiple times and proposed the following solutions:
UCloud’s CDN service has high-quality resources from self built and multiple partner companies, and has established performance testing and automated scheduling systems, allowing customers to use a unified service and support portal, promising a response time of 90 seconds .
The object storage product UFile meets customers’ needs for images and has advanced image processing capabilities to reduce customers’ investment and maintenance of separate clusters for image processing .
In response to rack resource requirements, UCloud’s hosted hybrid cloud solution allows users to retain their original asset investments while achieving hosted hybrid cloud through interconnectivity between the intranet and public cloud The current business topology diagram of the customer on UCloud is shown below:
Consumer benefits
By using standardized products provided by cloud services and transparent business pricing, customers have achieved higher product cost-effectiveness compared to using traditional IDC and CDN service providers.
UCloud’s professional sales, architecture, technical support, and R&D teams provide customers with in-depth technical level support. The hybrid cloud solution allows customers to continue seamlessly migrating their existing business systems and also cope with the pressure of later business development through the elasticity of public clouds. It also provides a new alternative solution for the aging replacement of existing servers.
UCloud’s highly available infrastructure, cross regional and overseas dedicated lines, and other network constructions also provide customers with more and better underlying support for their future business development.
